Halberstadt C.V (DFW) C. 4205/18 data plate
German aircraft manufacturers were required to provide aircraft with a factory data plate as well as an army data plate. The army data plate is pictured below. The two data plates were mounted on each side of the fuselage, usually near the nose, as well as elsewhere on the aircraft, such as on the wings. This data plate is from a D.F.W.-built Halberstadt C.V (DFW) C.4205/18. It's broken in the middle. Aircraft of the same type are shown below.
