This is the later model (1917-1918) of the two most common, woven cane or wicker seats used in British aircraft during the war; the ealier model (1914-1916) can be seen under the Allies tab on this web site. This seat measures 19 in. wide by 15 in. deep by 14.5 in high or 48 cm by 38 cm by 37 cm. The last two images below show the same style seat in the collection of the National Museums Scotland. The cane around the lower right-hand side is frayed.
